The Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) will convene an online event to provide the most up-to-date analysis on environmental matters and climate-related disclosures by companies across Europe. Supported by the EU LIFE Programme, the evidence presented will also inform policy makers of the regulatory reforms needed to improve reporting in line with the Non-Financial Reporting Directive to meet the objectives of the EU Green Deal.
How do the laggards compare to the leaders?
The in-depth review conducted by CDSB analyses the climate and environmental disclosure practices of the top 50 European companies by market capitalisation. The findings will outline the current state of reporting with regards to key issues such as materiality, coherency and location of disclosures to ensure that investors are fully informed about the sustainability of their investments, supporting the European Commission’s aims as part of its renewed strategy sustainable finance.
Central to the debate will be the role of policy and central banks in driving more effective corporate reporting practices. Hear from key policy leaders, supervisors and central banks on the direction of travel and the importance of embedding sustainability into the heart of financial and corporate reporting systems.
