CDSB welcomes new members to its Technical Working Group

Andrew Collins (SASB) Andrew has been with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board as Technical Research Analyst since November 2012. His specialized knowledge includes sustainability for manufacturing organizations, conflict minerals risk management, corporate sustainability strategy and corporate sustainability reporting. Andrew is an ISO 9001 and SA8000 trained auditor and has international auditing experience including India, China, Taiwan, Mexico and South America.

Christian Hell (KPMG) Christian is a Manager in the sustainability practice of KPMG Germany. He has extensive experiece in providing assurance on integrated and sustainability reports for numerous large multinational clients in diverse industries. Christian was part of AccountAbility's standards team developing the AA1000 Principles and Assurance standards, was in the Technical Committee for AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement standard, and a member of the working group 'Boundaries' within the GRI G4 development process. He regulary speaks and publishes on integrated and sustainability reporting and assurance and is interested in impact investing and life-cycle sustainability assessments

Ian Wood (BT) Ian is responsible for the development and production of BT's annual sustainability reporting. Ian has collaborated on a number of projects through BT including developing and managing BT's CR Digital Inclusion campaign (UK), managing partnerships with charities involved with Digital Inclusion in the UK, developing BT's EMS, and delivering ISO14001 certification for UK operations. Ian and his team at BT have been using CDSB’s Climate Reporting Framework since 2010 to help them transparently account and report environmental costs and opportunities.

Jackie Cook (Fund Votes) Jackie was Senior Research Associate at The Corporate Library and Junior Research Fellow at Cambridge University's Centre for Business Research. She is the co-inventor of the Corporate Library's Interlocks Tool, a graphical tool for navigating director interlocks through the US corporate board network. Jackie has worked on various research projects in the areas of corporate governance and mutuality for The World Bank's Private Sector Development Group, UNCTAD's International Standards of Accounting Auditing and Reporting Group, The UK Department of Trade and Industry and The UK Building Societies Association. She is the founder of Fund Votes, an independent project that tracks mutual fund proxy voting in the US and Canada. 

James Leaton (Carbon Tracker) James is Founder and Research Director of The Carbon Tracker Initiative. He is the lead author of the report: ‘Unburnable Carbon: are the world’s capital markets carrying a carbon bubble’. James’ other projects have included working for WWF on the Sakhalin II oil and gas project finance, and initiated work on tarsands finance in the UK, partnering with the Co-operative Bank. He also authored the report ‘Unconventional Oils: Scraping the Bottom of the Barrel’.

Jane Thostrup-Jagd (Maersk) Jane is responsible for inventing and implementing the framework for EuroSox (Risk & Control Compliance) in all BUs. Her skills include assessing  the Group Risk gross and net -and evaluating each BUs' performance in this relation and report to the Audit Committee. Responsible for making the CSR data collection, consolidation and CO₂ emission calculations across the Group. Jane’s publications include 'Investor oriented CSR reporting' which aims to serve as a guide in ensuring that corporate CSR reporting is useful for investors and analysts.

Mike Reid (Grant Thornton) 
Mike launched a new sustainability practice in Grant Thornton that will provide advisory services to resource intensive sectors including Food & Beverage, Property & Construction, Transport, Local Government, Health, and Higher Education. Since June 2011, Mike has been the chairman of the Sustainability Advisory Group of the Institute for Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), a group that raises awareness of sustainability issues, assists in policy formulation, disseminates best practice working with member organisations to share ideas, information, research and other resources. Mike was also seconded to the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) as Project Manager during the creation of the IIRC and the development of the Discussion Paper on Integrated Reporting.

Peggy Foran (The Climate Registry) Peggy Foran manages the development and design of The Registry’s GHG accounting and reporting policies. In this role, she leads research initiatives and facilitates consensus across industry, government and environmental non-profit stakeholders on best practices in facility-level GHG accounting and reporting. Peggy has participated as a GHG quantification and reporting expert in the development of mandatory and voluntary GHG reporting requirements for the Western Climate Initiative, the World Resources Institute and the State of California, among others. Prior to joining The Registry, Ms. Foran held positions with D&R International, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR Program and the Consumer Energy Council of America in Washington, DC.

Tom Baumann (Interactive Leader)  Tom is Co-founder and Director of Strategic Solutions and Partnerships at the GHG Management Institute. Tom is also Co-founder and CEO of ClimateCHECK, a GHG management services and solutions company. Tom has an established track record of conceiving visionary innovations and turning these into market leading solutions. He has worked in progressively senior positions in the private sector, public sector and nonprofit sector since 1998 and he has worked on and managed over 150 assignments in nearly all market segments, ranging from clean technology R&D to corporate GHG management systems, to government policy and program design and implementation. Tom has also been working with CDSB on the Colloborase Platform as part of the Consistency Project.
