CDSB’s Managing Director, Mardi McBrien, introduced the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) at the IBM Think Summit Australia & New Zealand.
Just days before the summit took place, IBM announced its commitment to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Jason Leonard, Partner, AI & Analytics Practice Leader at IBM Australia / New Zealand said:
"Climate change is the challenge of our generation, and so IBM has committed to net zero carbon emissions by 2030. In addition, it is also important for organisations to comprehensively understand the risks to their business operations. As a result, the TCFD framework is being rapidly adopted across Australia and New Zealand, and IBM has invested in solutions to help organisations track progress to net zero, as well as the challenging task to model and quantify the financial exposure to climate change risks"
In a video message for the attendees of the IBM Think Summit Australia & New Zealand, CDSB’s Managing Director, Mardi McBrien, introduced the TCFD recommendations.
